Three Smart Bees Apiary & Honey Farm was founded in 2022 when two brothers (ages 9 and 10 at the time) desired to start a business to take part in a local children's business fair. Their dad had recently taken up beekeeping as a hobby and suggested the boys join in on the beekeeping fun! The boys decided they would sell honey at the business fair! They thought of many names and ended up agreeing on "Three Smart Bees," representing them and their little sister.

 

Their beekeeping journey began, and not only has it cultivated their love of learning, but it has also assisted in building their work ethic and responsibility, while learning business operations and all about entrepreneurship. They also ended up winning an award at that local children's business fair for the most creative business!

These junior beekeepers pride themselves on learning facts about honeybees, honey, and more; and with each customer interaction you can count on our smart bees to give you a fun fact about all things apiculture! Their motto is "Bee Smart...Bee Kind...Bee Phenomenal," and indeed they encompass each of these traits! These smart bees are hopeful that their small business will grow into something greater than they can imagine!
